Quartararo was handed the keys to the car after the season’s final qualifying session in a ceremony with BMW M chief executive Franciscus van Meel and Dorna Sports chief executive Carmelo Ezpeleta. The Frenchman secured five pole positions throughout the season and ended with 318 points in the BMW M Award standings, beating his closest competitors by 15 points. 2021 MotoGP World Champion Fabio Quartararo has walked away with the keys to a BMW M5 CS after picking up the BMW M Award for the fastest qualifier of the MotoGP season.
